Brief overview of how emotions might impact on speech applications in the near future. The emotions can be detected from a customer voice, or be expressed by TTS as well as by the facial expressions of an ECA/avatar. The presentation offers an update of major research areas and the effort to make emotions to be standardazied to allow a quicker adoption in the industry.
